There is good news in the difficult times of Covid-19: the Mainz-based luxury label "WEICH Couture Alpaca" opened its pop-up store in Kaiserhofstrasse, right next to Goethestrasse, last Friday. The new start-up brand sells sustainable home textiles and accessories made from the high-quality alpaca fibre. Among other things, the focus is on the best-selling product, the hot water bottle made of soft alpaca fur. "Due to the current situation, we had to refrain from an official opening party out of consideration for the well-being of the population. Nevertheless, we welcome every customer from now on," founder and managing director Jannik Weich is quoted as saying. He will manage the shop together with another employee. The pop-up store will initially be open as a successor to Laurèl from October to the end of December 2020.
